The Beer & Partners EIS Scheme spreads the risk of holding individual

investments by delivering a diversified portfolio of shares in unquoted companies.

While no guarantee can be given as to timing or amount, an IRR of 20% is targeted before taking into account potential EIS tax benefits:

•    Income tax relief at 30%
•    Deferral of Capital Gains Tax
•    Gains exempt from CGT
•    Exemption from Inheritance Tax

The Investment Advisory Team is led by Simon Hunt, previously a Partner with KPMG, who has been involved in 9 MBO’s and £250 million investment disposals for investors. Over the past 10 years, he has invested his own money as equity in over 40 private companies, realising proceeds of £7.5 million to date.

Simon has invested over £400,000 into the Scheme.

Widely based sources of high quality dealflow have been established, including, but not exclusively, Beer & Partners Ltd, together with industry experts (who may be members of the Scheme’s Expert Panel) and management teams and co-investors known to and with whom the Investment Advisory team may have worked before.

Target investment opportunities tend to have protected advanced technologies with potential for global application, typically with low operating costs and restrained, highly focused budgets for product development and marketing and at least 5-8 times ROI achievable within 4–7 years.

Further subscriptions (minimum £25,000) would be welcomed.
