"PROOF that the gaming business can defy any recession? Beer & Partners, the investment firm that helps match angel investors with fledgling businesses, is celebrating after the backers of London’s Fox Poker Club enjoyed an 83% return in only 17 months. The club, which opened in Shaftesbury Avenue in September last year after securing funds of about £1million, is billed as London’s only dedicated poker club with a full UK casino license. Investors can cash in now that Genting Casinos has acquired the business for an undisclosed sum."
