Successful March Investment Fair

News

Our first Investment Fair of the year took place on March 10th and attracted over 120 investors who turned out to meet the entrepreneurs behind the 30 exciting early-stage companies. The room was buzzing with activity; entrepreneurs and investors met for the first time to discuss investment opportunities.

We have high hopes that the March Fair will prove as successful as our last Fair in November 2010, which raised over £1.7m for the companies presenting. Feedback from entrepreneurs and investors has been positive and many have arranged follow up meetings to discus potential investment.

Investment Fair 10 March

One investor said that the latest Fair had been the best yet, commenting that there was an “excellent variety of investable companies”. Another who had planned to drop in for just 20 minutes ended up staying for over 3 hours after a number of the presenting companies caught his eye. The chief executive of one of the presenting companies was delighted with the feedback from investors she met on the day. She is confident that she will receive at least one offer following subsequent meetings with angels she met at the Fair.
