Beer & Partners completed this biggest ever deal with a $9 million investment going to a leader in cloud computing software for the digital media sector. In just five months, this US based client now has the required funding to expand their revolutionary cloud-based managed services platform in the way that Management and clients seek. This financial commitment from a small institutional investor, introduced to the Company at the London Investment Fair in June 2011, enables the company to develop their marketing activities, grow the sales team and add functionality to the product range. Our client was serious about attracting investment and we made sure they were extremely well-prepared for the Investment Fair in June and subsequent introductions in the campaign. Because of this, we were able to efficiently generate some earnest interest from angels and funds in a short space of time through a focused and stimulating campaign.

Beer has raised in excess of £600k for this company. As the business has become 'de-risked', it attracts more widespread attention, and that figure may rise.

For a normal subscription of £25,000, investors have access to a portfolio of early stage companies of high potential, chosen and managed by a team led by Simon Hunt, an experienced and professional private investor with proven track record who has invested his own funds in the scheme. The first closing of the scheme took place in March 2009 and the first two investments were made within the 2008/9 tax year.
