THE SECRET MILLIONAIRE

Channel 4’s award-winning The Secret Millionaire returns and is looking for successful individuals with an interest in philanthropy.

Each week, The Secret Millionaire follows a different benefactor as they leave behind their normal life and go undercover in a new neighbourhood to explore some of the social issues and struggles faced by people who live and work there.  Without initially revealing their true identity, they can meet local people and organisations and find out who most needs their support. At the end of their visit, our benefactors reveal who they really are and announce how they want to help. 

The new series will continue to give an insight into some of the most important social issues in Britain today and look at how people with wealth and power can help bring about positive, lasting changes to the lives of those less fortunate.

This engaging and uplifting series provides a unique opportunity for benefactors to actually meet the people that directly benefit from their donations. It also allows our philanthropists to explore specific social issues that may be close to their heart.

This project would require 10 consecutive days out of your schedule in January or February 2009. The series will be broadcast in a primetime midweek slot in 2009. The last series enjoyed ratings of around 3 / 4 million viewers each week.
