Many of you have asked us about putting investor syndicates together. In response to this we have a number of initiatives to enable you to work with like-minded people for the purpose of investing.

Events
One of the key purposes of the events that we run is to enable you to meet like-minded individuals, which in turn has resulted in people getting to know each other and co-investing in projects. We will continue with our programme of events and hope that if you have not attended so far, you will do so. Please see the events section for list of up coming events.

If you are a registered Beer & Partners investor, are interested in joining with other registered investors and are happy for us to pass your contact details on, please fill in the form below. We will circulate the details of anyone who completes the form to all others who have completed it – a type of virtual introduction scheme. Why syndicate
There are numerous advantages to syndication, whether it is right for you depends very much on your private equity investment strategy.

 

  1. Spreading Risk - It can help enable you to build a portfolio – investing less in each business and thus spreading your risk
  2. Time poor – Choosing investments and doing the deal take time, if you work with other investors you can spread the work and still invest.
  3. Sector Knowledge – maybe you like the idea of investing in technology start-ups, but don’t really know enough about the sector to make the judgement call required. Linking up with people from an IT background means you can benefit from their knowledge and expertise, and even follow their investment choices should you choose to.
  4. Share legal and due diligence costs and time.

If any of the above sound like you, then maybe you should consider syndicating with other investors.

Current Syndictaion Opportunities
In the Current Opportunities  section of the website, you will find a list of all our current opportunities. Below are listed opportunities where at least 50% of the funding has been ear marked and we are looking for an investor to join with the current investors or where a lead investor is in place and we are looking for additional funds to co-invest. Essentially these are opportunities to join an existing group of investors who have already looked at the project and are keen to invest.
